Google has launched a new update for the Google Pixel Watch 4, and this update brings two prominent features that clearly enhance the use experience.
First, the company has added a new set of gestures. These gestures have previously appeared during a code analysis, but the current update makes them officially available to users.
You can now perform a double-tap or wrist twist gesture to control multiple functions without ever touching the screen. These functions include switching between notifications, hiding them, snoozing alarms, managing a timer or stopwatch, controlling music, choosing a smart reply, as well as answering or ending calls. For ease of use, the watch will display hints on the screen at appropriate moments to indicate when gestures can be activated.

The second feature is improvements to Smart Replies for both the Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Watch 3. The new replies are based on a language model developed by Gemma that runs directly on the device, and is twice as fast and almost three times more memory efficient than the previous model.
With these additions, Google continues to push the experience of its smart watches towards more smoothness and intelligence.
