The General Administration of Curative Medicine at the Sohag Health Directorate, under the leadership of Dr. Amr Dowidar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Sohag, continues, for the fifth day in a row, its field follow-up of the work of equipping Saqalta Central Hospital in preparation for officially entering service.
Equipping Saqalta Central Hospital
Dowidar explained that the hospital is being prepared at the highest level, in accordance with the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, and Major General Dr. Abdel Fattah Siraj, Governor of Sohag, praising the direct support and continuous follow-up from Dr. Peter Wagih, Assistant Minister of Health for Therapeutic Medicine Affairs, to accelerate implementation rates.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health confirmed that Saqalta Central Hospital represents a strong addition to the health system in the governorate, and will contribute to providing distinguished medical services to the people of East and North Sohag, thus relieving pressure on public hospitals and achieving a qualitative leap in the level of services provided to citizens.
Dowidar concluded by emphasizing that the Sohag Health Directorate is sparing no effort in supporting and developing health facilities, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership, with daily follow-up continuing until the official opening and the hospital entering service at full capacity.
