The Governor of the New Valley, Muhammad Al-Zamlot, decided to raise the level of maximum preparedness, coinciding with the weather fluctuations that the governorate is exposed to and expectations of rain, as the sky of the governorate was covered with dense clouds that blocked the sun’s rays and led to a drop in temperatures. He directed the activation of the main operating rooms in the governorate and the centers, to deal immediately with emergency situations, and to receive citizens’ reports around the clock.
Lifting the state of emergency in the cities of New Valley
The New Valley Governorate announced the lifting of the state of emergency and maximum alert in all five cities of the governorate: “Kharga – Dakhla – Farafra – Paris – Balat,” coinciding with warnings from the Meteorological Authority of fluctuations in weather conditions.
Major General Muhammad Al-Zamlot, Governor of the New Valley, said that the level of maximum preparedness and emergency in all governorate agencies had been raised, and the governorate’s operations room was assigned to follow up on the weather conditions to confront the climate changes that occur during that period.
