The Governorate’s Drinking Water and Sanitation Company announced LuxorIn an official statement, it announced the complete water outage in the city of Esna, tomorrow, Sunday, February 1, 2026.

The company explained that the outage will begin at nine in the morning and continue until five in the evening on the same day, for a total of 8 continuous hours.
The company attributed the reason for this temporary outage to the necessity of carrying out important technical works related to including the sewage ejection line for Station No. (6), which is a step that comes within the framework of the company’s plan to raise the efficiency of the infrastructure and improve the city’s sewage system to ensure the sustainability and quality of service in the future.
Important warnings for citizens, bakeries and hospitals
The company called on all citizens living in the affected areas, in addition to the owners of bakeries, hospitals, and vital facilities, to take the necessary measures and manage their water needs in advance during the announced outage period, in order to avoid any shortage that may affect the progress of work or daily life.
The company confirmed its full commitment to completing all technical work within the previously specified times, and to work on pumping water back into the network immediately upon completion.
It also announced the provision of equipped drinking water trucks that will be present in the affected areas to meet the emergency needs of citizens, and they can be requested for free.
