New leaks indicate that the Galaxy S26 series will soon support satellite communication, with the expected launch date approaching next month. The three models, the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, have appeared in the FCC database, revealing important details regarding connectivity options.
Official documents showed that the phones support Supplemental Coverage from Space (SCS) and Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) technologies, which practically confirms the provision of satellite communication.
Thanks to this technology, users will be able to send and receive text messages even in areas that lack coverage of traditional cellular networks, with the feature likely to be limited to specific markets or regions.
In the same context, the FCC filings also revealed that the Galaxy S26 series supports other advanced communication technologies, including Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth LE, NFC, in addition to Ultra Wideband (UWB).
In terms of partnerships, Samsung is likely to cooperate with Skylo to activate calling and messaging services via satellite, based on a previous report linked to the Exynos Modem 5410.
