Luna launched its Gen 2 smart ring last year, and now it’s offering a major upgrade that makes the ring the first device you can actually talk to.

With Luna Voice, users can audio record the events of their day, including what they ate and drank, supplements, exercise, and even personal feelings, without having to use a phone, making it less likely that they will forget to record important data.

The Luna Ring Gen 2 monitors multiple health indicators such as heart rate and variability, as well as measuring SpO2 and tracking sleep. It also contains a skin temperature sensor to support tracking women’s reproductive health.

The ring also provides hydration reminders and caffeine windows based on what has been logged, avoiding unnecessary reminders if enough water has been drunk.

Luna Voice allows you to create workout and nutrition plans, use the AI Coach during workouts, and discuss health data post-workout. On iOS devices, Luna Voice must be accessed via Siri.

The ring has a battery life of 4 to 7 days depending on usage, while the charging case extends this up to 30 days. The ring needs 60-80 minutes to charge inside the box, and the box itself needs to charge the 580 mAh battery for two hours once a month.

Luna Ring Gen 2 is compatible with Android and iOS devices without the need for a monthly subscription.

The ring is crafted from PVD-coated titanium and comes in four colours, with a non-metallic, hypoallergenic inner mold, and is water resistant to 50 meters (5 ATM). It can be purchased from the official Luna store for $330 or £300.
