An official support page from Google in Hindi revealed a new feature that may allow users to change the email address associated with their accounts, noting that its launch will be gradual, so it may not be available to everyone immediately.
The page explains that the user will be able to “change” the email once every 12 months. In practice, this procedure is similar to adding a new email as an alias to the account, while keeping the old email active and usable.
The user will still have one mailbox for incoming and outgoing mail, with the ability to sort messages based on mail received and choose which mail to send. In general, Google will allow up to three new email addresses to be linked to one existing account with all the data and services associated with it.

Of particular interest is the possibility of integrating an alternative account the user has into his current account, as many people tend to use more than one Google account for multiple purposes, such as having two separate email channels.
Since Gmail offers server-level mail filtering and conditional forwarding for free, this new feature could make complex mail setup more robust and flexible, with potential implications for managed Google accounts, such as those used on school Chromebooks.
However, there are some limitations, such as a limit of three new mailing addresses per year, with a theoretical maximum of four, and the inability to delete any addresses after they have been added. There are still questions about support for this feature on Google Workspace accounts that use a mail domain other than @google.com.
