Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Governor AssiutHe visited the Central Health Insurance Clinic to check on the health of the child Ziad Abdullah, known in the media as “Abu Dhakah Janan,” while conducting medical examinations and analyzes in preparation for the start of his medical journey. The visit comes within the framework of the Governor’s continuous follow-up of the child’s condition and in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to take care of children and people of determination, and to provide them with all aspects of care and support.

The governor had previously responded to the family’s appeal and adopted the child’s condition, directing the provision of an electric wheelchair to facilitate his mobility, in addition to following up on a comprehensive treatment plan that includes careful medical examinations and analysis, and coordination with Assiut University Hospital to perform the surgical operation required to restore Ziad’s ability to walk normally. During the visit, the governor exchanged conversations with the child and shared his smile and joy, stressing the governorate’s keenness to provide him with integrated humanitarian care.
The governor was accompanied during the tour by Nafisa Abdel Salam, Director of Community Participation in the Governorate, and they were received by Dr. Ahmed Othman, General Manager of the Central Upper Egypt Health Insurance Branch.
Major General Hisham Abu Al-Nasr confirmed that the follow-up of Ziad’s case will be personal and continuous, stressing the provision of the best health and treatment care for him, and wishing him a full recovery and a return to his normal life. He explained that what is given to the child comes as a necessary humanitarian response, stressing the commitment of the governorate agencies and all concerned parties to provide medical and social support and support the family, in accordance with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in caring for children and people of determination.
The governor added that Ziad is distinguished by his kind spirit and bright smile among his classmates in the third grade of primary school, and that the governorate will continue to follow up on his condition until the full stages of treatment are completed, while overcoming all obstacles facing his family to ensure the provision of all the treatment and care the child needs.
For their part, the child’s family expressed their happiness with the governor’s attention and directives, noting that the procedures prior to conducting the operation had not been completed for years, which reflects the state’s keenness to care for its children with special needs.
The child Ziad gained wide fame on social media after a video of him went viral during a school party at the Dayrout Center, where he appeared laughing and interacting enthusiastically with his classmates despite being blind, which highlighted his cheerful spirit and positivity in facing challenges.
The Governor of Assiut also announced that he would provide a job opportunity for the child’s father and meet all the family’s needs to ensure their stability and fully support Ziad’s treatment journey.
