The Dakahlia Water and Sanitation Company announced a water outage in a number of villages in the center and city of Manzala, with a weak water supply in the center and city of Matareya, today, Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 8 a.m. until 12 midnight, for a period of approximately 16 hours.
The company explained that the outage will include the areas of: the local unit in Al-Houta and the local unit in Amarna, while the areas of the center and city of Matareya are witnessing a weakness in water during the same period.
The company attributed the reason for the outage to carrying out maintenance, replacement and renewal work on the 600 mm diameter Al-Jamaliyya water utility line in the direction of Al-Manzala, as part of a plan to raise the efficiency of networks and improve the level of service provided to citizens.
The company appealed to citizens, in addition to government departments, local units, authorities, hospitals, and bakeries, to meet their drinking water needs during the outage period, until maintenance work is completed and water is gradually restored.
