Ahmed Ghanem Sultan made controversial statements, during which he attacked Al-Ahly club, pointing out that the red team is on its way to exiting a zero season without achieving championships.

Ahmed Ghanem Sultan said in television statements: The mistakes that Zamalek went through over the course of 20 years were committed by Al-Ahly in 4 months, and the longevity of Al-Ahly takes its due.
He added: Zamalek was very complimentary, even in my generation, and the penalty kick that was not awarded to Smouha in Al-Ahly… If it had been for Al-Ahly, the referee would have counted it before the player signed, and Zamalek and Al-Ahly would be complimentary until the ball was closed, and when we were 7 years old in Zamalek, we did not interrupt the tournaments, I mean, and we were complimentary in the Petrojet match, we played a lot of wasted time until we got a goal.
Ahmed Ghanem Sultan also talked about Pyramids, stressing that it has financial strength but lacks support in crises, noting that it may lose in any legal dispute because it does not have a “strong back.”
He expressed his support for Hani Abu Rida’s moves, stressing that he is dealing strongly with Al-Ahly’s current crisis. He also criticized the sports programs’ focus on specific arbitration cases, as he stressed: Al-Ahly is putting pressure on the referees, and I am happy that Hani Abu Rida is in the fight and is not backing down from Al-Ahly’s problem.
Ahmed Ghanem Sultan continued in his statements: Al-Ahly will not take anything from the club.. This whole group is wrong, Mustafa Schubert, who people were looking at in the sky.. He came into it with a run from half the field.. He could have blocked it with his brain.. but God was fair.
In a related context, Ahmed Ghanem Sultan praised the improvement in Zamalek’s results, stressing that the team was close to a disastrous season, before achieving a clear breakthrough in the recent period at the league and Confederation level.
He concluded: Zamalek was going to close the club and overturn a restaurant… and what is currently happening is a boom.
