The Cultural Development Fund sector continues its role in supporting the creative movement and providing platforms for young talents, as it organizes Bayt the hair Al-Arabi Beit Al-Sitt Wasila, behind Al-Azhar Mosque, will host a poetry evening entitled Poets from the Land of the Stranger, in reference to the city of Suez, today, Sunday, at seven o’clock in the evening.

The House of Arab Poetry hosts the poets of Suez

The evening will host a group of distinguished Suez poets, namely: Amr Sameh, Jihad El-Temsah, Muhammad Abu Amra, Alaa Suleiman, Tariq Al-Azanji, and Marwa Abdel Sayed, who present texts that embody the special emotional character of the city, and the human heritage and mature poetic experiences it carries. The evening is moderated and the poet Ibrahim Abu Samra participates in it.
For his part, poet Sameh Mahjoub, director of the House of Arab Poetry, confirmed that the evening comes within the approach adopted by the Cultural Development Fund in providing stable institutional platforms for creative people from various governorates.

He added that the House of Arab Poetry, as one of the centers affiliated with the Cultural Development Fund, is committed to being a comprehensive space for all poetic voices in Egypt. We are proud of the Fund to support young talents and provide a platform worthy of their creativity. The city of Suez in particular possesses a poetic memory and a distinctive human spirit, and this evening reflects its renewed presence in the Egyptian cultural scene.

The evening comes as part of the cultural program presented by the House of Arab Poetry within the work system of the Cultural Development Fund sector, which aims to stimulate cultural activity, enrich the artistic taste of the public, and enhance the position of cultural institutions as a basic pillar of sustainable development.
