Motorola officially announced the launch date of the Motorola Edge 70 Pro after a series of teasers, confirming at the same time a number of its key specifications.

The phone is scheduled to arrive in the Indian market on April 22, and will be available through the Flipkart store and the official Motorola store, in addition to traditional retail stores.

The phone relies on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor, with a 4600 mm² vapor cooling chamber to improve performance during intensive use. The processor is also coupled with LPDDR5X random access memory of up to 12 GB.

The phone gets a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen that supports a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, with a resolution of 1.5K and a maximum brightness of 5200 nits, which provides a clearer and smoother viewing experience.

In terms of photography, the phone includes three rear cameras, led by a 50-megapixel main camera using a Sony Lytia 710 sensor with OIS optical stabilization support. It also includes a 50-megapixel wide camera, a 50-megapixel front camera, in addition to a multi-spectrum sensor to improve color accuracy.

The phone contains a 6,500 mAh battery with support for 90-watt fast charging. It also runs Android 16 straight out of the box, with the promise of three years of system updates and five years of security updates, along with a host of AI features.

Other specifications include a Gorilla Glass 7i protection layer on the front, water and dust resistance with IP68 and IP69 standards, in addition to support for Hi-Res high-resolution audio with Dolby Atmos. The phone will be available in three colors, including white, green, and dark blue.
