The 10th of Ramadan Authority takes legal measures against a dental clinic for dumping hazardous medical waste on the road
A field campaign was launched to examine the complaint, and the inspection revealed that the waste belonged to one of the dental clinics in the same neighborhood, in serious violation of the requirements for the safe handling and disposal of medical waste, and the direct threat it represents to public health and the environment.
Engineer Alaa Abdullah Mustafa, head of the 10th of Ramadan City Development Authority, directed the immediate response to the incident, as coordination was made with the Health Directorate to remove the waste and dispose of it using safe and environmentally approved methods, while taking the necessary legal measures against the violating clinic.
The head of the agency confirmed the continuation of campaigns and field follow-ups around the clock to monitor any similar violations and deal with them decisively, stressing that there will be no tolerance for any practices that harm the health of citizens or violate environmental requirements, with the need for all medical facilities to adhere to safe methods for disposing of hazardous waste.
