The Administrative Court of the State Council decided to postpone consideration of the appeal submitted by the Maana Save a Human Foundation against the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s decision to dissolve the organization, until the next December 27 session, after the state’s lawyer requested a postponement to review the case papers and documents.
Maana to Save Humanity Foundation
The Foundation confirmed before the session that its case represents a defense of a humanitarian message that has continued for years, as it is the leading body in Egypt in caring for, rehabilitating and sheltering homeless people, and that it was the only voice supporting them in the absence of effective official action.
Foundation officials expressed their hope that the distinguished administrative judiciary would do justice to them during the next session and recognize their right to continue in order to preserve the right of the most needy groups to care.
