Ali Abu Al-Enein, the Wadi Degla Club player, ranked 14th in the world, achieved a major achievement by winning the Sportwerk Hamburg Open 2026 squash title, after defeating his competitor Youssef Soliman, ranked 12th in the world, in the final, with a score of 0-3, on points 5-11, 8-11, 5-11, in a match that lasted 51 minutes.

This coronation is an important step in Ali Abu Al-Enein’s journey towards achieving more global achievements in the game of squash, as he seeks to continue his brilliance and enhance his ranking in the international classification.

It is worth noting that the Sportwerk Hamburg Open 2026 is one of the prominent international tournaments on the agenda of the International Professional Squash Association (PSA), as it is held in Hamburg, Germany, with the participation of an elite group of the most prominent squash players, male and female, from various countries of the world.

The total value of the prizes is $133,000, with $66,500 for the men’s category and the same for women.

The tournament is characterized by its strong competitive atmosphere and high-level professional organization, making it a pivotal station in the PSA Bronze tournament series approved by the International Federation of Squash Professionals.

Earlier, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Gohar Nabil, honored squash champion Hania El-Hamami, ranked first in the world, at the ministry’s headquarters in the new capital, in appreciation of her winning the El Gouna International Women’s Squash Championship title, following her victory over Nour El-Sherbiny in an all-Egyptian final that ended with a score of 3-2.

The Minister of Youth and Sports congratulated player Hania Al-Hamami, stressing that this achievement reflects the continued Egyptian supremacy globally in the sport of squash, the importance of which has increased recently, especially after it was officially included in the competitions of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
