Lenovo officially revealed the updated version of its Legion Y70 gaming phone in the first update to this series since 2022. This step comes after weeks of teasers and the appearance of the phone at a technical event last March in China. The new images show that the design of the smartphone is very similar to the Motorola Edge 70, as it features a rectangular rear camera unit that includes a three-lens setup. The new phone will be available in two color options, white and black, with a textured finish similar to that of the company’s Legion Tab Gen 5 tablet computer, to provide a firm and comfortable grip for gamers.

Although Lenovo has not shared the full technical specifications of the phone yet, the announced images strongly indicate that the primary rear camera will come with a resolution of 50 megapixels to ensure taking high-quality photos. Regarding performance, it is still unclear whether the phone will rely on the all-new flagship Qualcomm processor, but given the history of the series and its constant reliance on the most powerful processors, it is expected to provide tremendous performance. Lenovo also hinted at its great focus on integrating artificial intelligence features into this anticipated phone, with the possibility of adding a dedicated button to activate these smart features to stand as a fierce and strong competitor to the RedMagic 11 Pro series of phones, which is leading in the world of gaming.

Lenovo is preparing to comprehensively announce all the details and specifications of this gaming phone during its major technical event scheduled to be held in China on May 19, 2026. This awaited event will not only be limited to revealing the phone, but Lenovo also intends to use this occasion to launch two completely new tablet computers belonging to the same series dedicated to gaming, which will come with larger screen sizes than the last version to expand users’ options and meet all their entertainment needs in an integrated manner.
