Major General Ibrahim Abu Laymoun, Governor of Port Said, held an expanded meeting to discuss mechanisms for developing a number of markets within the governorate.
This is within the framework of the state’s plan to improve the level of services, achieve cultural discipline, and improve the urban environment




This came in the presence of Major General Amr Fikry, Secretary General of the Governorate, Engineer Nermin Nashat, Director of the Urban Planning Department, Engineer Howaida Shamis, Head of the Port Said Development Zone, Major General Ayman Sobhi, Head of the Zohour District, Dr. Dina Al-Hamami, Director of the Strategic Administration, and a number of relevant executive authorities.

During the meeting, the governor directed the preparation of a comprehensive and integrated study that includes implementation mechanisms and proposed timetables, in a way that contributes to developing random markets and raising their efficiency, especially in the most densely populated neighborhoods, and working to replace them with organized urban markets that meet the technical and health requirements, in a way that achieves the public interest.
Governor listened Port Said To a detailed explanation from the Urban Planning Department about the proposals proposed for development, which include raising the efficiency of infrastructure, paving streets, beautifying sidewalks, improving the lighting system, and reorganizing commercial stores according to organized planning, in a way that achieves the appropriate urban form in Port Said Governorate, and is in line with the comprehensive development plans that the governorate is witnessing in various sectors.
