held Egyptian Olympic Committee Under the chairmanship of Engineer Yasser Idris, today, Saturday, the ordinary and extraordinary general assembly meeting took place at the committee’s headquarters inside Cairo International Stadium, in the presence of 31 members of the general assembly.
The General Assembly of the Olympic Committee adopts the bylaws
The work of the Ordinary General Assembly witnessed unanimous approval of the adoption of the budget for the year 2024-2025, in addition to the approval of the activity plan for the coming period, within the framework of preparing for the upcoming sports competitions and tournaments.
The Extraordinary General Assembly also unanimously approved the statute of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, the Egyptian Olympic Charter, in line with the requirements of the next stage and enhances the development of institutional work within the committee.
The General Assembly thanked Gohar Nabil, Minister of Youth and Sports, in appreciation of his continued support for the Egyptian Olympic Committee and sports federations, and his constant keenness to create the appropriate climate to develop the sports system and achieve the best results at the continental and international levels.
For his part, Engineer Yasser Idris, President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, thanked the members of the General Assembly for the great confidence and continued support, stressing that this consensus reflects the state of stability and consensus within the sports system.
Idris added that the adoption of the activity plan and approval of the bylaws come within the framework of developing the work system within the committee in accordance with international standards, noting that the next stage will witness a great focus on preparing players and national teams for continental and international participation.
He stressed that the Egyptian Olympic Committee continues to work to consolidate the principles of transparency and governance in various decisions, keeping pace with global sports developments, and providing a distinguished administrative and technical environment for sports federations.
The meeting was attended by Counselor Ahmed Saad in his capacity as judicial supervisor of the General Assembly, and Dr. Ahmed Mukhtar, Head of the Central Administration for Sports Performance at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, representing the administrative body.
