The security services at the Ministry of Interior are examining a video clip circulating on social media, showing a motorcyclist verbally assaulting a private car driver and his family, while they were walking on a street in Cairo, using obscene words and inappropriate behavior.
An incident of a motorcycle driver assaulting a motorist and his family with obscene words
The driver of the car said that he was walking over the Joseph Bridge, heading to Al-Demerdash Hospital due to his medical condition, and was accompanied by his mother and his niece. He explained that he moved from the middle lane to the right lane normally, but he was surprised by a motorcycle driver coming from the far left lane, heading towards him quickly and colliding with the side of the car from behind.
The victim added that he stopped to reprimand the bike driver for his driving style, but the latter’s discussion developed into a verbal altercation, before he left the place, confirming that the motorcycle driver later chased him on Salah Salem Road, and continued to assault him with obscene words and hostile behavior, which was documented in the circulating video.
The security services are currently examining the video and listening to the car driver’s statements, in preparation for identifying the motorcycle driver and taking the necessary legal measures regarding the incident.
