The sub-supply departments within the “Al-Qanater Al-Khairiyah – Toukh – Banha – Qaha” district in Qalyubia Governorate launched intensive campaigns, with the aim of preserving the rights of citizens and ensuring a safe market and food service worthy of the people of the governorate.
Within the framework of the directives and instructions issued by Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, and Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Qalyubia, and in continuation of the Qalyubia supply campaigns with strict instructions issued by Dr. Tamer Salah Mokhtar, Undersecretary of the Ministry and Director of the Supply Directorate in Qalyubia.
Several surprise campaigns were launched based on the instructions of the Undersecretary of the Ministry within the Al-Qanater Charity Departments – Toukh – Banha – Qaha, to visit bakeries with the aim of controlling and deterring violators, ensuring justice in the distribution of food support and providing a good product worthy of the people of the governorate.
The campaign efforts resulted in the issuance of 40 various catering violations, which included the production of underweight bread, the lack of clean kneading tools, the closing of bakeries during official working hours, the absence of a usable scale, the absence of an operating list for bakeries, the failure to announce prices, the production of bread that does not conform to specifications, the absence of a record of visits by inspectors, the failure to give cash vouchers to citizens, and the absence of a dashboard with activity data.
Dr. Tamer Salah Mokhtar, Director of the Qalyubia Supply Directorate, directed several intensive and sudden campaigns today, Friday, in the “Toukh” area. He directed two campaigns, one for the directorate’s ration control and the other for the administration itself. And within the “Al-Qanater Al-Khairiyah – Banha” area, he directed these departments to visit bakeries to confront any attempts to tamper with the share of support directed to citizens.
The directorate’s ration control also visited gas warehouses and car fuel stations, to ensure compliance with the regulating rules and the official price set for sale, and visited one of the mills affiliated with the Qaha district to follow up on the dispensing of flour to contractors and bakery owners to monitor any complaint about the quality of the flour. It carried out heavy work on the weights of flour bags to ensure that they conform to the legal weights of the bag.
Dr. Tamer Salah Mukhtar stressed his keenness to deliver support to those who deserve it and work to achieve social justice, and that he is working around the clock in cooperation with the competent regulatory authorities to control the markets through field follow-up and continuous campaigns on a daily basis, for all food establishments and even markets in general, in order to ensure market discipline and confront any negative practices or attempts to tamper with the rights of citizens.
The Qalyubia Supply Director also added that the directorate continues to implement comprehensive and organized control plans, with a focus on all governorate centers, noting that the citizen is an essential partner in these efforts, by reporting any violations observed during the receipt of subsidized bread, to ensure the sustainability of a fair and integrated system.
The Qalyubia Supply Directorate also calls on citizens to immediately report any unannounced warehouses or places in which food commodities are stored or packed, through one of the complaint registration channels in the unified government complaints system: 16528 or via the website www.shakwa.eg.
