The Egyptian National Railway Authority, a short while ago, sent technical personnel to the exit site of a train car in Luxor, to lift the car and temporarily divert the traffic on the descending line to ensure regular operation without any disruption to the movement. The incident did not result in any casualties.

The Railway Authority said that during the course of train No. 977/2687, air-conditioned (Luxor – Cairo), and at 19:35, car No. 111070 behind the power car derailed from the tracks in the area of ​​the Mustafa Kamel slides in the courtyards of Luxor station.

The Authority noted that the technical procedures are being completed and a committee is being formed to determine the causes of the vehicle’s fall and take legal measures regarding it.
