French star Ousmane Dembélé, player of Paris Saint-Germain, was crowned with an award The Best 2025 For the best player in the world, presented by FIFA, during the ceremony currently being held in the Qatari capital, Doha.
Dembele won after a competition with after a competition with Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star and captain of the Egyptian national team, Ashraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes and Vitina, the Paris Germain trio, Cole Palmer, the Chelsea player, Kylian Mbappe, the Real Madrid player, and Lamine Yamal, Rafinha, and Pedri, the Barcelona trio.
Dembele had an exceptional season with Paris Saint-Germain, as he led them to win the Champions League, achieving a crushing 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the final match, in addition to a local double by winning the French League title and the French Cup.
The 28-year-old France international, who was named Champions League Player of the Year and Ligue 1 Player of the Year, helped PSG reach the 2025 Club World Cup final in dramatic fashion as their hopes of further progress were dashed by Chelsea at MetLife Stadium in New York.
The FIFA Best of the Year Awards 2025 ceremony began at seven in the evening, Cairo time, and eight in the evening, Mecca time.
During the ceremony, FIFA presents awards for the best in several categories, most notably the best player in the world, the best coach, the best goalkeeper, the best fans for a club, and the best goal of the year, in addition to the FIFA Fair Play Award.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of about 800 guests, most notably Gianni Infantino, President of FIFA, and members of the FIFA Council, in addition to legends of the game and representatives of member associations from various countries of the world, as well as a number of local and regional ambassadors and football pioneers.
