Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, commented on the incident of a woman ending her life in Alexandria this morning.
The Minister of Social Solidarity said, in a post on her official page, that this incident was not just a life that was extinguished, but rather it was a final cry for help written with tears of oppression before death silenced her, adding: For the mother, who is originally the source of life and patience, to reach a stage where the wide space is narrowed and she finds no room except in death, is a dangerous indication that safety has been assassinated between the hammer of stubbornness and the injustice of relatives and the anvil of need.
She added: The case of this mother who ended her life and we do not know the reason, but the possibility of a dispute over an apartment that is her daughters’ residence is a disgrace on the forehead of everyone who has the strength to deprive young children of their mother’s embrace and the peace of their shelter. The nursery apartment is not just walls, but rather dignity, and when housing is taken away and the mother’s psychological stability is threatened, we do not take away a stone from her, but rather take away from her the desire to survive.
Maya Morsi added: Also, a few days ago, the mother and her children died because the father did not spend money. The guilt of the children who left hangs on the neck of the one whose decency dried up and left them in need, and in the heart of a mother who strayed from the path of patience and thought that killing them would be a salvation, and that death is more merciful than a stingy hand and an absent heart. The abuse of the right and emotional and material blackmail is a crime that requires deterrent punishment.

She confirmed Minister of SolidarityThe lives of women and children are not a card in the struggle of intrigue, and delayed justice is a disguised injustice, adding: Strike with an iron hand on anyone who begs to turn the children’s residence into an arena for settling scores or providing expenses for the children for bartering… The child’s right to housing and maintenance is not waived.
The Minister of Solidarity also sent a message to citizens, saying: Have mercy on the children, do not write their mother’s name, do not share the clip, and do not invade the privacy of her account and publish from it.. Have mercy on daughters who have no fault.. If affection diminishes and mercy is glorified in the company of human beings, then know that the mercy of the Lord of humanity has no limit, and His healing of broken hearts is a right that will not be lost.
