The executive position of the Ras El Hekma and Shams El Hekma projects

At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the great importance of these projects, due to their role in advancing development on the northwestern coast and enhancing Egypt’s tourism capabilities on the global map in the Mediterranean region, in addition to the broad prospects they provide for creating new job opportunities for Egyptian youth in various sectors.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly indicated his keenness to continuously follow up on the project implementation stages, pointing out that the government pays great attention to overcoming any procedural challenges to ensure the launch of the project in accordance with the targeted international standards.

The Prime Minister followed up on the pace of delivering compensation to eligible residents of the area within the scope of the project, as well as the procedures for handing over lands to the developing company. In preparation for completing the construction work and various implementation stages.

Counselor Muhammad Al-Homsani, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, stated that the meeting witnessed a review of the official handover position of the project land, where it was noted that 13,800 acres have already been handed over, and the procedures for handing over an area of 5,400 acres are being completed, in addition to completing the procedures for 20,800 acres, in preparation for the start of handing it over to the project company. The meeting also touched on the position of the compensation that has been disbursed to those entitled to it, whether for lands, buildings, or crops. What procedures are being taken to complete the disbursement of these compensations?

The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers added that the meeting also discussed the executive position of the work carried out by the Ras Al-Hekma Project Development Company in the investment area, where it was noted that the construction of a hotel is being completed, which is planned to open during the summer of this year. The position of implementing the villa works was also reviewed, as well as what is related to the construction of fences and gates around the project land, and connecting the main facilities on the borders of the project land, as the government supports the implementation of this major development project.

Regarding the executive position of the various ongoing works in the “Shams al-Hikma” area, the official spokesman explained that the position of the work of the urgent phase related to the implementation of alternative housing in the sectors that were identified within the detailed plans for family sites, which includes 250 acres in the first sector, 300 acres in the second sector, 200 acres in the third sector, and other areas that were identified, was reviewed. In this regard, it was noted that the implementation of various utility and road works for the urgent stages in those sectors has been completed.

Counselor Muhammad Al-Homsani added that during the meeting, it was noted that the urgent phases of electricity work for various sectors in the “Shams al-Hikma” area had been completed, the electrical current had been launched and various roads and streets in the area had been lit, and the experimental school implementation work had also been completed in the “Shams al-Hikma” area, which has already begun operating during the current academic year 2026, in addition to reviewing the percentages and rates of implementing projects to annex the southern alternative region for the tribes “South of the Express Train” and the sectors it contains, which include residential areas, and other recreational and tourist areas. Logistics, investment, and services.
