Laila Soueif, the mother of Alaa Abdel Fattah, announced the arrival of her son to the British capital, London, after his name was removed from the travel ban lists, in a post on her official page on the social networking site Facebook.

Earlier this month, the investigating authorities decided to remove Alaa Abdel Fattah’s name from the travel ban lists, in response to the grievance submitted by his defense, Khaled Ali, which was No. 92287 dated November 13, 2025.
The grievance came regarding the travel ban decision issued in Case No. 1356 of 2019 State Security. The grievance submitted to the Attorney General stated that Alaa Abdel Fattah had gone to Cairo International Airport Terminal 3 on Tuesday morning, October 11, 2025, to travel to London on board EgyptAir flight No. MS777.
