Alberola Rojas leads the Spanish King’s Cup final between Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad
The Spanish Football Federation announced the appointment of referee Javier Alberola Rojas to officiate the Spanish King’s Cup final, which brings together Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad.
Alberola Rojas is considered one of the elite referees in Spain, as he joined the list of first-class referees since the 2017-2018 season, and officiated 168 matches in the Spanish League. He also won the international badge in 2022, before joining the list of elite referees in the European Union in 2025.
The Spanish referee will play his first final in the King’s Cup, after officiating two matches in the current edition during the first rounds, between Constancia and Girona, and Extremadura against Seville.
Alberola Rojas will be assisted by Alfredo Rodriguez and Jorge Bueno as assistants, while Adrian Cordero will be the fourth official, and Jose Luis Martinez will be the fifth official. As for the VAR, it will be managed by Jorge Figueroa, with the assistance of Daniel Trujillo and Luis Mario Meya.
