Sadness fell over the Egyptian community in Italy following the announcement of the death of the young man Abdullah Abdel Salam Sanad Awad Ahmed, 21 years old, as a result of serious injuries he sustained after falling from an electric scooter in the city of Nova Milanese, on the outskirts of Monza and Brianza.

Details of the tragic accident

According to what was reported by the Regional Emergency Agency (Areu), the accident occurred in the early hours of the morning on Tuesday, February 24, specifically at 7 a.m., while the young man Abdullah, resident of the Paderno Dognano area, was taking Via Garibaldi.

According to preliminary investigations conducted by police officers (the Carabinieri), the young man lost control of his means of transportation (the Monoplatino), which led to him violently colliding with the asphalt.

Rescue attempts were unsuccessful

Ambulance teams and medical units rushed to the site of the accident immediately after it occurred, where the young man was found in a state of complete loss of consciousness and with injuries described as “very serious.” Abdullah was urgently transferred under Code Red (extremely critical condition) to the San Gerardo Hospital in Monza. Despite the doctors’ diligent efforts to save his life, he passed away shortly after arriving at the emergency room as a result of his deteriorating health condition.

Ongoing investigations

Police reports from the “Desio” company, which temporarily closed the road to conduct the necessary inspections, indicated that no other vehicles were involved in the accident, which suggests the hypothesis of an individual loss of control. The authorities found a protective helmet at the scene of the accident, but investigations are still underway to confirm whether the young man was wearing it correctly at the time of the collision or not.
