The countdown to participation continues Egypt national team In the next edition of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, in Morocco, from December 21 to January 18.
The Egyptian national team delegation will leave Cairo at five in the evening today, heading to the Moroccan city of Agadir, on board a private plane, to join a closed camp there in preparation for the start of the Pharaohs’ journey in the African Nations Championship.
The Egyptian national team’s delegation on its trip to Morocco is headed by Hamada El-Sherbiny, a member of the Football Association’s Board of Directors, and the rest of the delegation includes members of the team’s technical, administrative and medical staff, and the 28 players selected for the tournament roster.
Hani Abu Raida, Chairman of the Football Association’s Board of Directors, is scheduled to join the team’s delegation to Morocco in a few days, and some members of the Football Association’s Board of Directors will also fly to Morocco in a few days to attend the Egyptian national team’s first match in the African Nations Championship, scheduled for next Monday evening against the Zimbabwe national team.
The Egyptian national team is competing in the African Cup of Nations in Group Two, which also includes the teams of Zimbabwe, Angola and South Africa.
The Egyptian national team concluded its preparations for the African Nations Championship by playing a friendly match yesterday against the Nigerian national team at Cairo Stadium, and the match ended with the Egyptian national team winning by two goals to one.
