Organize Bank of Egypt And his Foundation for Community Development celebrated Orphan Day in 15 Egyptian governorates, in continuation of his pioneering role in serving the community and supporting the most vulnerable groups, within the framework of his firm commitment to social responsibility.

Banque Misr draws a smile on the faces of more than 3,500 children to celebrate Orphan Day in 15 governorates

The celebrations in Cairo and Giza witnessed the participation of more than 600 children in distinguished activities held at the Children’s Museum of Civilization and Creativity, where the children enjoyed a variety of recreational and artistic activities and interactive games, which were specially prepared to bring joy and happiness to them. The celebration was attended by Dr. Ali Al-Saidi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development. Bank employees and their families also participated in the events and were keen to spend a special entertainment day with the children and provide them with in-kind gifts, in a scene that reflects the spirit of volunteerism and belonging.

Similar celebrations were also organized simultaneously in 13 other governorates, including Aswan, Alexandria, Luxor, Sharkia, Red Sea (Qusayr and Hurghada), Sohag, Qena, Assiut, Ismailia, and the cities of Canal, Beheira, Minya, and Beni Suef, in coordination with the bank’s various branches, bringing the total number of children benefiting to about 3,500 children, which reflects the Bank of Egypt’s keenness to reach the largest number of children in various parts of the Republic.

Dr. Ali Al-Saidi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development, stated that the Banque Misr and its foundation are keen to organize this event annually with the participation of the bank’s employees, which contributes to achieving a sustainable positive impact, stressing that the priority is human development and placing child care at the top of concerns. He added that the bank’s role is not limited to providing financial support, but rather works to support and empower children in an integrated manner to enhance their chances for a better future.

Banque Misr believes in the importance of social responsibility as a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable development, as it is keen to adopt and implement many community initiatives, directly and indirectly through the “Bank of Misr Foundation for Community Development.” The Bank’s areas of focus include health, education, and social solidarity, in addition to supporting the most needy villages and developing the most vulnerable areas, which contributes to achieving comprehensive and sustainable development.

It is worth noting that Banque Misr has won many international awards in the field of social responsibility, in recognition of its distinguished efforts in this field, which reflects its firm commitment to supporting society. During the year 2025, the bank has allocated about 1.5 billion Egyptian pounds to invest in various social responsibility activities, emphasizing its effective role in achieving a positive and sustainable impact.
