Spotify has been very busy over the past couple of days. After officially launching the “Page Match” feature, the company now offers the “About the Song” feature, which it describes as “a new way to explore the stories behind music.”
This new feature places swipeable short story cards in the Now Playing view, which “explore the meaning behind the music you hear.” Stories from outside sources are summarized “to highlight interesting details and behind-the-scenes moments,” according to the official press release.
To see this, you need to open the “Playing” view and scroll down to find the “About the Song” card, which appears on supported tracks. About the Song is currently in Beta and is being rolled out on iOS and Android in English to Spotify Premium users in the US, UK, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia.
