Spotify announced a redesign of the interface of its application intended for tablet devices, whether on iPads or tablets running the Android system, with the aim of providing an experience more suitable for large screens.
The company explains that the new design was developed from the ground up specifically for tablets, so that it makes the listening, watching, and content discovery experience smoother and more comfortable on larger screens.
Unlike the previous version, which relied on enlarging the phone version, the interface now takes advantage of the additional screen space, allowing content to be browsed and new clips discovered in parallel with what is already playing.

The UI also changes dynamically between portrait and landscape modes instead of just resizing, giving a more balanced experience in both modes. Spotify has added a new sidebar that allows browsing during playback, with the ability to collapse or expand as needed.
Also among the most notable additions is the Switch to Video button, which comes in a prominent interface to facilitate the transition to a more interactive viewing experience. Despite the design changes, the app has retained its basic structure, including the bottom navigation bar that ensures quick access to the main sections.
