Ali Muhammad Ali said in television statements: I am not against criticism, perfection belongs to God alone, but criticism sometimes makes me upset, not because of me, but because I have a family and children who are affected more than me.
He added: I am reconciled with myself and reconciled with others. I have been working in commentary since 1998, and I have great experience, and I know when to speak and when to get excited.
The sports commentator continued: I do not want to say that what is happening is a systematic campaign. There may be people who do not like my comment, and this is their right. Perfection belongs to God alone.

He also touched on his football affiliation, stressing: My affiliation with Zamalek club is not new and well-known, but this has never affected my work, and I comment on all Egyptian clubs in the continental championships with the same enthusiasm and the same performance.
He concluded his statements by expressing his astonishment at the attack he was being subjected to, saying: Frankly, I do not know the reason for the attack on me, and I always try to do my work with honesty and respect for everyone.
