Private sources within the Football Association’s Second Division Competitions Committee revealed the fate of the Tanta matchTelecom Egypt Which brought the two teams together in competition Second Division “A” Professional League.
Rematch between Tanta and Telecom Egypt in the Professional League
The sources explained to Cairo 24 that The Football Association’s Second Division Competitions Committee decided to replay the match between Tanta and Telecom Egypt due to the events it witnessed, as next Tuesday was set as a new date for the match.
The match between Tanta and Telecom Egypt witnessed a crisis after referee Abdel Aziz Al-Sayed withdrew from awarding a penalty kick in favor of the Telecom Egypt team, after the fourth referee reviewed the game via mobile phone and it was proven that the violation occurred outside the penalty area.
Suspension of the refereeing team for the match between Tanta and Telecom Egypt
The Referees Committee of the Egyptian Football Association, led by Oscar Ruiz, announced the suspension of the refereeing crew for the Tanta-Telecom Egypt match. He said in an official statement that following the events that took place in the Tanta-Telecom Egypt match and after receiving individual written reports from the aforementioned referees: arena referee Abdel Aziz Al-Sayyid, first assistant Walid Mamdouh, second assistant Shehab Rashed, and fourth referee Hossam Hassan, the referees committee decided to suspend them from their duties in all grades and competitions until further notice.
She continued that the incident was referred to the competent authority for investigation to take the final decision in accordance with the applicable regulations, stressing the commitment to transparency and strict application of the laws of the game, which are among the basic pillars of arbitration work.
