Samsung has announced that it is bringing Google Photos to its smart TVs for the first time, making the service available as an app on a TV platform before even Android TVs. This move represents a significant expansion of the big-screen image experience.

In early 2026, Samsung will start rolling out three main Google Photos features, with Memories arriving first. The feature will feature curated stories based on important people, places and moments, while remaining available exclusively for eligible Samsung devices starting in March. This way, the user will get their memories in a more prominent and clear way on the TV screen.

Later in 2026, Samsung will roll out Create with AI, which adds intelligent AI-based editing tools. This feature will allow you to use ready-made templates to edit images and add artistic touches to them, in addition to integrating the Remix tool directly on the big screen to bring your images to life in innovative ways.

Samsung will also introduce the Personalized Results feature at the end of the same year, which will display photo slides organized according to the memories or topics most closely related to you, making it easier to access specific moments without the hassle of searching.

Additionally, Samsung will integrate Google Photos with the Vision AI Companion (VAC) to enhance visual recognition capabilities and deliver a more interactive photo experience.
