In a letter addressed to the Pope, the affected Iranian families also asked the Pope to work in the spirit of enlightenment, so that no parent anywhere is forced to sing a lullaby over the cold stone of his child’s grave, according to the Iranian IRNA news agency.
A letter from the families of the victims stated: We write this letter to you with trembling hands and hearts full of pain, and in the midst of the ashes and devastation of the school in the city of Minab in southern Iran. We are the parents of 168 children. These days, instead of embracing the warm bodies of our children, we cling to their burning bags. Innocent children whose only fault was smiling in the classroom.
They added in their message: When the terrible sound of explosions closed the world’s ears to our cries, your peaceful words became echoed [يا بابا] Balm for our endless wounds.

They said: We are grateful to you for being the voice of truth in the midst of war and reminding us that lasting peace and tranquility are not achieved by force and weapons, but by dialogue.. Minab is a bitter truth; Those created by American bombs under the guidance of irrational warmongers.
