Honor has officially started selling its new and distinctive laptop that runs on Intel’s advanced Panther Lake processor platform. The new Honor MagicBook 14 2026 computer is currently available in the Chinese market as a start for its launch, as it features a powerful Arc B390 integrated graphics processing unit and an ultra-smooth screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, in addition to a huge battery with a capacity of 92 watts per hour. This step comes after Honor revealed last March during the Mobile World Congress its professional version, which has not yet been available in the market to compete with powerful devices such as the Galaxy computer or MacBook Pro.
Honor decided to update the standard version of its laptop to work with the new platform from Intel, as the device comes with a light weight of 1.39 kilograms to make it easier to carry and move around. This version features a wonderful 14-inch IPS screen that supports a display resolution of 2.8K with a brightness of up to 430 nits and a pixel density of 243 pixels per inch with an aspect ratio of 16:10 to provide a wider viewing area. The company confirms that this screen covers the entire sRGB color range by 100% while providing a contrast ratio of 1200:1 to ensure accurate colors and clear, vibrant images.
Although this screen is considered a decline compared to the OLED screen used in the professional version, Honor was keen to provide this computer with the same powerful 92-watt-hour battery to ensure long periods of operation. It appears that the new device shares the same connection ports with the Professional version as well, except that Honor replaced the advanced Thunderbolt 4 port with two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports to provide data transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbps for each port to seamlessly meet users’ daily connectivity needs.
The new version also saw a shift to using a traditional mechanical trackpad instead of the interactive touchpad found in the professional version. Regarding prices, the new computer is available at a starting price of 6,999 Chinese yuan, which is equivalent to about 1,025 US dollars, for the version equipped with a Core Ultra 5 336H processor with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage space, and is available in two color options: floating gold and star grey.
