Vivo launched the Y21 phone in 2021, however the company is now returning to revive the same name with work on issuing the Vivo Y21 5G, in a move that may seem strange but has become a reality.
According to available information, the phone will come with a 6,355 mAh battery in the India and Malaysia versions, while the rest of the markets will get a 5,090 mAh battery. These values are expected to be marketed as typical capacities of 6,500 and 5,250 mAh, respectively.

These details are due to the appearance of the phone in two versions bearing the model numbers V2553 and V2554, as the V2553 version has already obtained sales approvals in India and Malaysia through the BIS and SIRIM authorities, while the two versions appeared together in the EPREL database. The phone also supports 44-watt wired charging in all its versions.
Besides, EPREL posters reveal that the vivo Y21 5G battery is designed to withstand about 1,600 charging cycles before its capacity drops below 80% of its original performance.
The phone also gets a rating of A for resistance to falling, and a rating of C for repairability, with IP65 certification for resistance to dust and water splashes. In terms of software support, Vivo is committed to providing Android security updates for five years.
