The South Hurghada District, in cooperation with the Utility Police, carried out an immediate removal campaign for 4 plots of land encroaching on state property in the Zerzat area of Al-Kahf, as part of the keenness of Major General Amr Hanafi, Governor of the Red Sea, to implement the law and recover the land. The campaign was able to remove 450 square meters, consisting of a plot surrounded by a white brick wall, a plot consisting of a two-room building, and another plot consisting of a fence made of wood and sheet metal, in addition to a plot of land on which wood waste had accumulated. The necessary legal measures were taken regarding the detected violations.
For his part, Major General Yasser Hemaya, head of the local unit of the city of Hurghada, stressed the continuation of campaigns and the recovery of state lands and property, stressing the lack of tolerance for state property and the preservation of public property, directing the field follow-up department, the encroachment department, and the property department of the Engineering Department, to the necessity of traffic and periodic follow-up so as not to repeat the encroachment and to confront any encroachment case.
