Motorola has officially confirmed its readiness to unveil its new phone, the Edge 70 Pro, which belongs to the upper middle class within a week, as it previously displayed the device via a teaser website before its official launch scheduled for Wednesday, the twenty-second of April 2026. The design of the new phone appears to be very similar to the cheaper version, the Motorola Edge 70, which is available at a price of 599 US dollars, but it comes with a slightly thicker body, and the upcoming phone was reviewed in three attractive colors, including white. Marbled lily, tea green and titanium blue to meet different tastes.
The main reason for the increased thickness of the device is that it is equipped with a giant battery with a capacity of 6500 mAh, which supports fast charging with a capacity of 90 watts using a USB-C charger included in the box, as Motorola promotes the ability of this battery to last for two full days, although this depends greatly on the nature of use. Regarding performance, the phone relies on the new MediaTek Dimensity 8500 processor designed with a 4nm resolution, which includes eight performance cores, led by a core with a speed of 3.4 GHz, three cores with a speed of 3.2 GHz, and four efficiency cores with a speed of 2.2 GHz, with a random memory capacity of up to 12 GB.
The phone offers a wide 6.8-inch AMOLED screen that has an exceptional peak brightness of up to 5200 nits with a super refresh rate of 144 Hz. These powerful specifications are complemented by an advanced imaging system consisting of a 50-megapixel front camera, a 50-megapixel main rear camera equipped with a Sony LYT-710 sensor, as well as a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera as well. This water-resistant phone comes equipped with the modern Android 16 operating system, with Motorola committing to provide at least three major updates to the operating system and a full five years of security patches to ensure the stability and protection of the device in the long term.
