iQOO is preparing to launch the iQOO 15 Ultra phone in China next month, and after the company recently revealed the phone’s design and color options, new details have emerged confirming the phone’s support for touch shoulder buttons with advanced technologies to improve the gaming experience.

The iQOO product manager announced via a post on Weibo that the tactile shoulder buttons in the iQOO 15 Ultra will support vibrating tactile feedback, along with a sampling rate of 600 Hz, relying on two independent control chips with the aim of reducing response time to the minimum possible.

He also explained that these buttons will be sweat-resistant, with the use of a special anti-sweat algorithm to ensure stable performance during intense use.

In a related context, the product manager reviewed the differences between tactile buttons and traditional buttons, as the new buttons rely on a linear motor to simulate actual pressure, which helps maintain a consistent sensation even after long periods of use.

In addition, the tactile buttons have a longer lifespan due to the absence of mechanical parts subject to wear, and they are seamlessly integrated into the phone’s frame, which reduces dirt accumulation and improves response speed compared to traditional buttons.

The company confirmed that the main goal of adding shoulder buttons is to enhance the gaming experience, especially in first-person shooter games that require quick and precise control. These buttons also make it possible to easily set up custom modes and execute complex commands, giving players a clear advantage during gameplay.

Meanwhile, previous leaks indicate that the iQOO 15 Ultra will come equipped with an active cooling fan, in addition to a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, with more details expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
