The Sudanese community in Egypt page called on members of the community to fully adhere to Egyptian laws, stressing that the current tightening of security measures is not a surprise, but rather a natural result of violations previously warned about.

The community affirmed, in a statement, in an image bearing the title: He who does not respect the home does not deserve hospitality, that holding permanent residency and adhering to legal procedures is not just a routine procedure, but rather represents legal and security protection for the individual in the event that he is exposed to any emergency, stressing that the Egyptian state exercises an inherent sovereign right to regulate the foreign presence on its lands, which is something that must be respected and supported by residents.

She explained that any illegal or inappropriate behavior by one individual reflects negatively on all Sudanese residing in Egypt, and harms families, students, and patients who reside legally and for legitimate goals, noting that the reckless actions of some create a state of tension that is not the fault of respectable people.

The statement stressed the need to respect residential areas and good neighbourliness, recalling that the Egyptians opened their homes to the Sudanese in difficult circumstances, and that the least return of the favor is to abide by the law and act as guests who respect the host country.

The community also issued an appeal to the Sudanese who are committed not to remain silent regarding violations, and called for any illegal activities to be reported to the competent authorities via the police number 122, considering that this does not harm anyone but rather protects society and the reputation of Sudanese residents.

The statement concluded by emphasizing that protecting Egyptian society and preserving the reputation of Sudanese is a collective responsibility, calling for cooperation to combat negative phenomena, and concluding with a prayer for the preservation of Egypt and its people, and Sudan and its people.
