Attempts to imitate Apple are nothing new among smartphone companies, and it seems that this trend will continue with the next generation of devices. Recent leaks indicate that several Android companies are currently testing a new color that Apple is rumored to introduce with the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series.
According to the leaks, both the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max may arrive in a new dark red color option. The leaker, Digital Chat Station, also explained that the leading Android phones of the next generation have already begun testing a similar color tone in preparation for their later launch.
It is also likely that some mid-range and budget phones will adopt this color, in an attempt to benefit from the popularity of iPhones and the attractiveness of their new colors.
This comes after Apple introduced a distinctive orange color last year with the iPhone 17 Pro series, before several Android companies adopted color shades close to it.
The Oppo Find N6 phone is a recent example of this trend, and it has been officially confirmed that the upcoming Find X9 Ultra phone will be available in an orange color option as well.
It is expected that dark red will be the main color of the iPhone 18 Pro series, which is likely to be unveiled during next September.
