Evidence suggests that Xiaomi is about to launch a new special edition of its global flagship smartphone. This phone, available in China as the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition, may bring the innovative zoom controls to global markets under the name Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi.
It seems that the special edition of Xiaomi’s flagship phone is on its way to getting a global release. As a reminder, the company provided a phone Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition In conjunction with the two regular phones Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 UltraModel number 25128PNA1C features innovative zoom controls.
Recently, leaks focused on the global availability of the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. In short, various sources expect the pair to match the prices of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and its smaller sibling (currently priced at $809 on Amazon). While equivalent details about the Leica Edition remain unknown at the moment, the global version has finally appeared on Geekbench under model number 25128PNA1G.
Based on a recent certification from a regulatory body, Xiaomi may offer this global variant as ‘Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi’ instead of just the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition. Regardless of its name, the Geekbench leak indicates that someone is actively testing this global model ahead of its official launch.
It remains to be seen at this point whether the Leica Leitzphone will join the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra at the expected launch event on February 28.
