Harry Kane, the German Bayern Munich striker, shocked Blaugrana fans after the statements of Javier Villajona, the candidate for the presidency of Barcelona, pledging to include the England striker in the team after opening contacts with his agent.
Harry Kane scored two goals in Bayern Munich’s victory over Eintracht Frankfurt (3-2), raising his tally in the German League to 28 goals.
Villajona said: “We have begun communicating with Kane’s agents. We have to work with caution and professionalism. We study the players’ files, and Kane is one of them. He is a scorer, a team player, and decisive in tight spaces, and this is what Barcelona needs.”
Kane was asked on Sky Sport Germany about Javier Villajona’s statements, which he stated on Friday that he had contacts, after hinting at this on Thursday on his social media sites, when he posted a picture of the English striker wearing a Barcelona shirt.
Kane said: “I haven’t heard anything about that. My father and my brother are in charge of everything, but they didn’t tell me anything. As I said before, I’m very happy here at Bayern. I’m focusing on this season and my career with Bayern, and I consider that a compliment.”
Bayern Munich leads the Italian League table with 60 points, 8 points behind runner-up Borussia Dortmund.
