Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Air Conditioner Powerful Air Pro Ultimate Edition 1.5 HP smart air conditioner, and has begun offering it for pre-order in China alongside the standard version, with a special focus on delivering gentler airflow.
The new air conditioner relies on distributing air through 602 precise openings, which helps spread the air in multiple directions to provide soft cooling instead of direct air.
Xiaomi confirms that this technology may reduce problems associated with air conditioners, such as headaches or nasal congestion, and also makes the device suitable for children and the elderly.
Other than that, the new version maintains the same specifications as the regular version, as it provides an air flow rate of 1,000 cubic meters per hour, with an annual efficiency factor (APF) of up to 6.30. It also supports cooling and heating, starts working in about 15 seconds, and includes a 118 mm fan.
The air conditioner supports smart features that include an energy-saving algorithm and smart alerts when blockages or malfunctions occur, in addition to HyperOS Connect support for remote control via the application or voice commands.
The device is available for pre-order in China at a price of 5,099 yuan, and Xiaomi has not yet revealed plans to launch it in global markets.
