The Directorate of Affairs revealed Health In Giza Governorate, the results of an expanded inspection campaign carried out by the Free Treatment Department on private medical facilities in the Hawamdiya area, as part of its ongoing efforts to preserve the health and safety of citizens, and to ensure compliance with health requirements and work standards in treatment institutions.
The directorate explained that the campaign resulted in visits to 18 various medical facilities, to ensure their compliance with the established licenses and health requirements.
Closing two laser centers operating without a license in Hawamdiya
She indicated that the results of the inspection included the seizure of two laser centers operating without a license, with large quantities of medicines inside them. The necessary legal measures were taken, which included closing, waxing, and seizing the seized items, in addition to issuing an impersonation report against those responsible for their management.
The Directorate of Health Affairs in Giza confirmed the continued intensification of monitoring campaigns on private medical facilities, to control violations and confront any illegal practices that would harm the health of citizens, while taking legal measures against violators without tolerance.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health and Population announced the examination of 735,884 newborns as part of the President of the Republic’s initiative for early detection of genetic diseases under the slogan “100 Million Health,” since its launch on July 13, 2021 until now, with the aim of building a healthy generation free of causes of disability.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Ministry’s official spokesman, confirmed that the initiative is currently working in its first phase, which aims to detect 19 hereditary diseases in premature infants in the Ministry’s hospital incubators, with the second phase including a comprehensive medical survey of all newborns in all health units nationwide.
