Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and his companions, during his tour today in North Sinai Governorate, followed the executive position of the project to establish 17 urban development clusters in the centers of Rafah and Sheikh Zuweid, at the site of implementing the development cluster in “Al-Husaynat” in Rafah.

Major General Dr. Khaled Megawer, Governor of North Sinai, confirmed that this project comes within the framework of the Egyptian state’s plans to achieve comprehensive development on the land of Sinai, in implementation of the directives of His Excellency Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic in this regard.

Engineer Randa El-Minshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, also presented the details of the project, as she explained that the first phase is being implemented in (4) communities, namely: Al-Husaynat Community, Al-Mutla Abu Shinar, Al-Wefaq Community, Naga Shabana and Mahdia Community, and Al-Dhahir District Community, with a total number of (6,047) Bedouin homes, including facilities and services, through the Ministry of Housing, the Central Reconstruction Authority, and the Executive Authority for Sinai Reconstruction Projects. And canal cities.

The Minister added that the design and implementation of Bedouin homes is done in a way that takes into account the various requirements of the tribal and social nature of the people of Sinai. In terms of privacy and Sinai traditions, the Bedouin house is built on one floor that can be raised, including a courtyard area, and two sitting areas for men and women.

Dr. Mustafa Madbouly inspected a model of one of the Bedouin houses in the “Al-Husseinat” development cluster, where the situation is being monitored as a model for the project. He also stopped at a viewing point at the top of the house to follow the progress of work and see a line-up of equipment participating in the implementation. Major General Assem Saadoun, Deputy Governor of North Sinai, explained that with regard to the “Al-Husseinat” cluster, which is being visited today, it is being built on a total area of ​​1,094 acres, and includes 3024 Bedouin homes, and it is expected to serve about 12 thousand people.

In turn, Major General Engineer Wael Mustafa, Head of the Executive Authority for Sinai Reconstruction Projects and Canal Cities, indicated that these development clusters are witnessing the implementation of a central services area, as the “Husseinat” cluster will include; As an example, a service area includes two Al-Azhar institutes for boys and girls, a mosque, two ambulance and civil protection points, a youth center, two agricultural and health units, a supply point, a post office, a police department, a basic education school, and a number of various commercial and administrative buildings, providing an integrated urban pattern.
