A source within Zamalek Club revealed the truth about the offers that the club received during the recent period to obtain the services of a number of first-team football players, in light of the news circulating regarding the possibility of some elements leaving during the next stage.
Zamalek postpones the finalization of offers for the departure of the team’s players
The source confirmed in statements to Cairo 24 that the Zamalek administration has decided in principle not to enter into any negotiations or study any offers related to the team’s players at the present time, until the final position regarding the suspension of registration crisis becomes clear, which continues to cast a shadow over the club’s future during the coming period.
The source explained that resolving the registration file is a top priority before making any decisions related to the players’ departure.
The source added that the club’s management believes that allowing the departure of any player before resolving the registration crisis may put the team in a difficult position, especially in light of the clear numerical shortage in Zamalek’s roster for the current season, in addition to the recent departure of a number of players after their contract with the club was terminated.
The source indicated that if a final solution to the registration crisis is not reached, the closest approach within the administration is to keep all the players and not agree to the departure of any member of the team, in order to preserve the stability of the list.
The source concluded his statements by emphasizing that Zamalek officials will resolve this issue during the coming period, as all the offers submitted will later be studied and negotiated, especially in light of the presence of more than one official offer for a number of the team’s players at the present time.
