Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance, witnessed the public lottery for Hajj among employees of the Ministry of Finance in its various departments and sectors, who applied for Hajj visas, which were approved by the Supreme Ministerial Committee for Hajj in the Council of Ministers.

Kajok extended his sincere congratulations to the winners of this year’s Hajj lottery, saying: We ask you to pray for Egypt and the Egyptians for more stability and progress.

He added that the Ministry works to provide comfort for pilgrims and facilitate their procedures through continuous coordination with the concerned authorities to provide the best services throughout the period of performing Hajj rituals.

Jamal Hussein, Head of the Public Treasury and Mint Department, Chairman of the Hajj Committee, confirmed that 227 employees of the Ministry in its various departments and sectors applied for Hajj visas this year and met the stipulated conditions, including 45 who were close to retirement age, two of whom were chosen by lottery; In appreciation of their efforts and dedication throughout their service, and considering this year as the last opportunity during which they can apply for Hajj visas.

He explained that the number of entities participating in the Hajj lottery this year is 18 entities affiliated with the Ministry of Finance, pointing out that a comparison was made between 16 companies specialized in religious tourism, which submitted their offers to implement Hajj visas in accordance with the best technical and financial standards.

The Minister of Finance had decided to form a committee headed by Gamal Hussein, Head of the Public Treasury and Mint Department, and with the membership of Najla Abu Al-Ezz, Head of the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Minister’s Office, Mohamed Sobhi, Director General of the General Administration for Fatwas, Grievances and Contracts in the Central Administration for Legal Affairs, Hassan Omar, Director of the Contracting Department in the Central Administration for Financial Affairs, and Yasser Mohamed, Director of the Office of the Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, in order to take the necessary decisions and measures to ensure the fair distribution of visas allocated to the Ministry of Finance, within a framework of governance and transparency. It guarantees equal opportunities among the candidates for the lottery, as well as between the companies applying to provide their services to pilgrims.

A technical secretariat was formed, headed by Samir Ali, the Administrative and Logistical Support Officer in the Minister’s Office, and the membership of: Sahar Saad and Mohamed Karim in the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Minister’s Office, Iman Magdy, Samah Ahmed, and Mohamed Zaki in the General Administration of Public Relations, and Mohamed Abdel Qader in the Central Administration for Administrative and Engineering Affairs.

The winners of Hajj visas from the Egyptian Tax Authority are: Jihan Hafez Ahmed, Salwa Mahmoud Abdel Fattah, Safaa Abdel Moneim Othman, Hazem Mohamed Abdel Rahman, Ashgan Sobhi Mohamed, Omaima Rushdi Mohamed, Fatima Saeed Abd Rabbo, Hanan Mohamed Al-Bayoumi, Nevin Abdel Latif Al-Sayed, and Amira Ibrahim Abdallah. And from the Customs Authority: Nadia Mohamed Abdallah, Omaima Morsi Khamis, And Imad al-Din Ibrahim Muhammad, and Mervat Hashim Musa.. From the “Real Estate Tax Authority”: Fida Fouad Abdel Rahim, Hanaa Bassiouni Ibrahim, Abdel Nasser Mahmoud Diab, and Khadija Abdel Fadil Muhammad.. From the “General Treasury and Mint Authority”: Ahmed Muhammad al-Hadi.. And from the “General Authority for Governmental Services”: Muhammad Hussein Abdel Moneim.

The lottery ceremony was attended by Yasser Sobhi, Deputy Minister of Finance for Financial Policies, Sherif Al-Kilani, Deputy Minister of Finance for Tax Policies, Ahmed Abdel Razek, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, and heads of various departments and sectors in the Ministry.
