Former parliamentarian, John Talaat, Vice President of the Awareness Party, said that had it not been for President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s intervention and directives after the first phase of the elections, the electoral scene would have passed unnoticed with all the irregularities it entailed.
He continued on the Politics Asrar program with media personality Hend Mukhtar on the Heya channel, that political money is present in all electoral processes around the world and there is no electoral campaign without political money, but the idea is in the awareness of citizens and their choice of candidates.
Regarding the opposition in Parliament, the Vice President of the Awareness Party said: I think we still have a real national opposition that offers solutions and not a loud voice and a trend only because the real opposition is the one that offers solutions and does not oppose in order to create a trend.

Regarding his experiences in political life in the Free Egyptians and Al-Waa parties, John Talaat said: I am one of the founders of the Free Egyptians Party, but I submitted my resignation when Dr. Essam Khalil assumed the leadership of the party and I said to the engineer Naguib Sawiris, “Be careful, this will bring about the end of the party.” Where was the Free Egyptians Party now, and Egypt has 108 parties that I did not hear about in today’s dish? Not everyone takes a new apartment or villa for rent and collects 5 thousand signatures. He says, “I am the head of a party.”
Regarding the Awareness Party, he said: “The Awareness Experience in the beginning. I enjoyed the experience with it, and we cannot determine its experience as a success or a failure because it has been in political life for one year.”
John Talaat called for the existence of a fact-finding committee to reveal the reality of the large vote difference between the candidates in many electoral districts in the runoff, saying: This phenomenon must be analyzed and there must be a fact-finding committee to see how a candidate gets 60,000 votes and in the runoff they remain a thousand votes, but we must see what happened.
He said that the successful politician is the one who has the popular backing and not the power, because the successful representative is the one who is loved by the Egyptians and the people of his district and at the same time has the strength to serve the people of the district.
Regarding the humanitarian aspect of his life, John Talaat said: Many rumors have spread about me, that I have private planes and a merchant, and I talk a lot and I am attacked a lot, but I did not think to respond because this is the tax of public work, and as soon as I succeed, people will throw bricks and rumors at us.
The Vice President of the Awareness Party continued about his professional life away from politics: I always strive to be No. 1 in the market, and it is difficult for me to compete in real estate development in light of the presence of big names in this sector, but I try to work hard to be among the top ten in the real estate development sector.
John Talaat said during the Politics Asrar program, sending a message to the people of Shubra and Rawd Al-Farag, saying: “I thank you very much, you have always been my support and support.”
